Mehndi Henna style ink drawings
Hi all!, I Have always loved the henna tattoos that woman from India wear . I wanted a way to keep the designs because the henna fades and the beautiful artwork is lost. I decided to make some artworks that will last forever! I used my fine tip sharpie marker on white heavy 118 lb. paper. I love Sharpies, so any excuse I have to use them I do. lol. Here are my drawings in black ink, I plan on making more in the series but adding color ink. I had a lot of fun creating these!

Surface Treatment Workshop Book review
I LOVE this book!!!
Surface Treatment Workshop is a technique book for mixed media artists. There are 45 techniques and each one has step by step instructions with pictures of each step. It also gives you information on what surfaces the technique works on, tips and tricks on each technique. A list of the materials needed. The archival quality of each technique, and troubleshooting information. What I like most about this book is that it gives you anywhere from 3 up to 10 picture examples of variations of each technique and how to acheive each variation. Every technique also has at least one finished artwork using that technique. The majority of the matierials usd are inexpensive. This is my go to book when I get stuck as to what to do next in a painting I'm working on!
